I'm Lucia Pozo-Garcia

My Skills
Skin cancer and mole checking under dermoscopy.
Minor surgery under local anaesthetic (lumps/moles/warts/diagnostic biopsies)
General Dermatology- Diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions (acne, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, infections, hair and nail problems…)

There is overwhelming evidence in the use of dermoscopy as an effective diagnosis tool. Dermoscopy is better diagnosing melanoma compared to the inspection of a suspicious skin lesion using the naked eye. It is also extremely helpful to diagnose benign lesions, such us dermatofibroma, seborrheic keratoses, angiomas. Non-melanoma skin cancers (basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma) can be detected earlier by using this technique.

Dr Pozo-Garcia is a recognised dermatologist by all major UK health insurance companies. She is also happy to see uninsured patients with or without a GP referral.
